<p><p>Given that compulsory super has been in for more than 20 years and the percentage of retirees accessing a pension continues to rise the purpose of super should be defined as "To minimise the number of people requiring a pension in retirement". This is easily measured and aligns with the Government's wish to improve the budget bottom line.<br>

<p><p>After seeing my supers performance over the last 18 years and only gaining at most a few hundred dollars when accounting for loss's and fees in fact the only time my balance has increased is when i have payed into the fund (normal industry funds) i have decided to reject it and shift all my earning outside the regulated economy where super is not payed and its impost to my costs can be ignored.</p>
