Just trying to help my young son with paying a one off toll worth initially about $1.80. It is 4 days after he went through the toll. Trying to help him because he initially after the journey went online and said it was all too confusing. I can tell you that it is. There is nowhere online that you can just pay that toll amount and even the toll amount and an additional "Late fee". It gears you towards buying passes. I find this system totally unacceptable and has the consumer paying for something that they haven't used and do not want to use in the future. It is a complete rort. I challenge you to go onto govia.com.au website and try to pay for a one off toll 4-7 days after going through the toll. Also they do not list their additional or late fees anywhere that I can see.

Reply to article

For original story, Click Here.

I received a letter from Dunn and Bradstreet, demanding some $1400 odd dollars for half a dozen fees that are dated 3 years ago. I contacted them, and told them that the only way I would not have paid a toll is if my tag was faulty. I have had 3 faulty tags, and received a letter from the M-5 motorway in Sydney, and they fixed the problem no hassle, and just charged my account for the toll.

This Transurban mob, send me a notice 3 years after the event, I even received a letter from a Law Firm, and when I contacted them, there is an answering service saying if it is in relation to a toll contact Dunn and Bradstreet. I have made it clear to Dunn and Bradstreet that it is my constitutional right to have this matter determined by a Magistrate, or judge.

One of the vehicles that they are chasing money for was actually in my driveway, a total loss after a very bad accident. Unfortunately, I just keep getting these phone calls twice a week from Dunn and Bradstreet. I asked for photographic evidence, and they refuse me, because, it was not me, nor any of my vehicles.

So now, I intend to serve EWAY with an account for the money, as it was there tags that have been faulty, and considering I did not ever receive a notice about an unpaid toll, than they can pay it. There faulty equipment, not mine. Also, when I did have faulty tags, I had to pay for new ones. What a rip off.

Reply to article

For original story, Click Here.

Leanne Wenzell is 100 percent right. That website is geared towards making it impossible to pay your one off toll so that they can sting you for some additional fees. Not to mention they insist you keep $40 or $50 credit on your govia account or set it for manual top up otherwise they suspend your account. Seriously if I use a toll once a year why would I want to top up $50! Bloody ridiculous.

Its no wonder the free roads are all congested and the toll roads run clear in peak hours.

Reply to article

For original story, Click Here.

I have been charged as a heavy combination vehicle on the M7 because the height of my caravan is over 2.7 high the maximum weight of the van is 4.4 tonnes not 42 tonnes like a semi trailer

I didn't know that they could change for the air space above the road Though it was all about weight and damage to the road

Reply to article

For original story, Click Here.

Just tried to pay a toll for Gateway Bridge in Brisbane. We are in NSW and headed to Sunshine Coast for holidays so no need for a toll account and giving them my money to sit in credit. The admin fee of $8.79 is a joke but when I've tried to pay my toll today (17 May) via BPay, when I enter the Bpay reference number, the bank tells me the ref number is invalid... so I had to call Linkt to find out why I was receiving this message. After waiting on the phone for ages to speak with someone (where is my Administration Fee.. I run a business myself so I had to take time out of my business to speak with them).. the operator informed me as the invoice was past the nominated due date (14 May.. so 3 days past due) that the Bpay option was no longer available.... how ridiculous!!! What other business cancels the BPay option on an invoice past the due date??!!! I'm trying to pay my account in good faith but as with other comments above regarding how hard they make it to pay your account, it simply seems a measure which is implemented so you are unable to pay your bill and they can then hit you with penalty fees for non-payment. Where are the regulators???!!!

Reply to article

For original story, Click Here.

The public are being flogged while fat cats line their pockets often at the expense of folk who just plain cant afford it

Reply to article

For original story, Click Here.
