"Check their accreditations and qualifications and ensure that the broker holds an Australian credit licence or credit representative status, and is a member of the Mortgage Finance Association of Australia who complies with its code of practice."

It's pretty 1 sided to say that credible mortgage brokers must be members of the MFAA, because that is not the only mortgage broker association-the FBAA i(Finance Brokers Association Australia) is just as credible and also has a code of practice which members must abide by.
