My general savings account had some $20,000 transferred into it ( 10k, 5k and 5 k) from sources unknown . It was then transferred into my credit card account ( which was already maxed out on minus $10,000 )

Then it was all transferred out to mobile phone numbers several times until my visa credit account was back to -10,000K.

Bank caught one transaction for $5K and did a reversal for $5000 . This stayed in my Credit card account for several days and then disappeared ( presumably to the Bank . )

Legally , even if I did not know about the transaction when the transferred credits went into my credit card account my automatic balance should have read zero . Then the following non-authorised amounts were fraud . Can I claim fraud protection on these amounts .

Police in NSW investigated the mobile numbers but alas they mobiles were finite - gone.

How on earth could transfers between my savings and credit card be done without my pin or card ?

Reply to article

For original story, Click Here.
