But that's the whole point. "Hate speech" is what Facebook, Twitter or Youtube "decide" it is.

That's why so many people have been deplatformed, demonised and demonetised (sic) in this 'cancel culture', merely for stating a political view that is against what their platform provider stands for. Yet the latter will never accept that is the reason, but say that they have "violated their terms of service" whilst giving no reason as to what they've actually done wrong or what part of what they said or wrote was considered "hate speech".

We are not talking about what a "reasonable person" (the "pub test") would deem to be hate speech, we are talking about people who have dared to state things such as conspiracy theories (Paul Joseph Watson) or for criticising identity politics or BLM (Carl Benjamin, a.k.a. Sargon of Akkad who holds classical liberal, centre-left views), or even commenting about fictional character "Yoda" (Will Sloan).

Reply to article

For original story, Click Here.

Whereas other people who state things which clearly are not reasonable (regardless of your political viewpoint) are not deplatformed or even removed.

Examples - Priyamvada Gopal from 22 June 2020 saying "white lives don't matter", Clementine Ford from 25 May 2020 about "Covid-19 not killing men fast enough", the tweets about Nick Sandmann from Resla Aznan, Kathy Griffin and Debra Messing (and everyone else) that seemed to advocate violence against him. How is any of that acceptable, especially if it was in reverse ?

Reply to article

For original story, Click Here.
