Just a question about pension mode and accumulation mode and the 15%tax on earnings

My husband and myself have a SMSF of which we are the only two members. We still both work and have a property that earns the fund its income along with a term deposit. My husband is over 60 and draws a pension from our SMSF to supplement our income. In your statement above it says that the 15% tax on earnings is when the fund is in accumulation mode. How does this work when one member is in pension mode as well as accumulation and the other member is solely in accumulation mode?

I know our total earnings on this fund are taxed at 15%. Should this still be the case?

Reply to article

For original story, Click Here.

I sold my home 115 days ago and just found out about the Downsizer Contribution. Is there a way around the ATOs 90 day limit ? or perhaps is there a sliding scale time frame ? Because i desperately need it as my super balance is low.

Reply to article

For original story, Click Here.
