With the story of buying between an aunt and niece, where would you start asking how this could be achieved - a normal bank or a broker or a solicitor?

The parties would need to be separate as far as the loan is concerned. Also the first home buyer grant would need to be approved. There are many steps before purchase is achieved. Thank you for the article - it is very topical.

Reply to article

For original story, Click Here.

Hi - with an aunt and niece buying property together, and the aunt owning 31%, would capital gains tax on the sale be payable by the aunt, since she is not living there. Also would the owners pay expenses in proportion to ownership, and would the aunt charge rent? There are so many questions to this situation but it seems to be one answer to ownership.

Reply to article

For original story, Click Here.
