What would happen to the CHESS sponsorship ift he company ASX went under. It isn't a government department. I note they have recently abandoned the new blockchain platform for CHESS which was to replace the aging unscalable older system. So where does ASX currently sit? Is it still a viable business?

On pearler, since they were mentioned but there are probably other examples, which shares purchased through them are CHESS sponsored, there are funds held in cash accounts waiting for the customer to decide to buy shares. I do not believe pearler are an authorised deposit-taking institution, I think pearler actually have the money in separate trust account that is separate from their operating funds, so I'm not too worried about pearler. What about companies that hold money like plenti and venturecrowd?

Reply to article

For original story, Click Here.
