As I approach retirement I regret not making a bigger deal out of this very issue. I would go to work on strong pain medication in a safety related field in a male dominated industry. I was reluctant to even mention it, let alone make a stand about it, for fear of being labelled weak or worse, dismissed.

Shine a spotlight on gynaecology issues and make working conditions better for every woman.

I agree that this is a real issue, but the problem is that it is far too ripe for people to go and exploit it, just like any other type of sick leave. When PMS is used as a "reason" to excuse bad behaviour or just to malinger, this is why it is discredited; you reap what you sow and this is not about "versus men not understanding", this is aimed at those who are the plain skivers.

Agree 100%. Let's see now ladies..."maternity leave" ? Up to a year. Paternity leave for Dad ? Two weeks. Yeah, SO equal there !

Well Farrah, that is such hypocrisy when all you hear about _is_ "whataboutism" from WOMEN on IWD..."what about us, we don't get paid as much (MYTH)", "embraceequity" (No, they want to be "more" equal), "equal pay for equal work" (MYTH).
