I love granite but unfortunately, if you want to renovate your kitchen and keep the granite benchtop, good luck finding a replacement cooktop that fits into the hole of the old one. Appliance makers change sizes which means the granite must be cut again and can crack. To avoid this, go for an upright stove which includes a cooktop and avoid getting a separate cooktop.
