This is a nice clear article for first home-buyers. I suggest that at the inspection prior to settlement, a new buyer should also bring a plan of the house and a tape measure, to verify all the wall lengths and room widths. Then they can work out exactly where to put their furniture on moving day, which will make that far quicker and smoother, saving much hassle and possibly money also (if you are paying a removalist by the hour to do the work).
