It's concerning that to register for the Qantas class action you need to provide as much or more private data that was compromised in the first place, and to a company that most likely has less cyber security than Qantas.

A comment on the Qantas Club Membership. I was told at the Qantas Club that it is deliberate policy NOT to send you a reminder that your membership needs renewal.

I've already written countless emails all the way to the top last time this happened, and they did not waive the Joining fee.

So, I find it has now happened again, Qantas Club membership lapsed, the 3 months grace has expired and now they want a Joining fee yet again. In my view this a "rip off" - I'm 86 - and this policy is Unfair to those who have supported them all these years. I think I may let it stay Lapsed, and use the normal food outlets at terminals - and they lose my custom on principle, not that it would worry them of course.

Agree Johnny - we are being bombarded by companies who email us demanding that to 'help' with our enquiry, that we must provide in an UNPROTECTED EMAIL, all our ID..name, dob, address, everything...no encryption at all. No wonder so many people are being scammed and their identities stolen.
