How to make extra cash by selling on Etsy

Etsy.com is an online marketplace for all things beautiful. It features over 17 million vintage, handmade and factory-made items (under strict Etsy guidelines) from 800,000 sellers around the globe.

Here you will find unique jewellery, stationery, craft supplies, toys, clothing, home decor, food, items for your pet, wedding accessories, furniture ... the list is endless!

Half the fun is in the browsing. I've purchased a number of items from the US, Asia and Europe and have been very satisfied with the quality, pricing, postage and service.

If you have items you think are suitable to sell on Etsy, it's quite easy and inexpensive to open your own store.

We recently built a deck at home and had quite a bit of beautiful spotted gum hardwood left over, so I made a number of items and sold them on the site.

I managed to empty the garage of the timber and made a little bit of cash on the side!
