What is Recycling Near You?

A site that contains information about the recycling and waste services offered by your council as well as local drop-off options for items such as computers, batteries, printer cartridges and mobile.

What you'll find

A search function that helps you find the closest recycling and waste centre by location or product.

So, for instance, if you have tyres or a computer you need to dispose of, simply select the dropdown menu under "product" and select tyres or computer. Select your area and up comes a list of outlets that accept these items.

Why we like it

Rather than pay somebody to remove the rubbish for you (rubbish or bulk waste that is not accepted by your council collection), you can save money if you are willing to take the waste away yourself. Plus you'll be doing your bit to be "green".

Council-run waste or recycling centres are generally free, but some may charge a small fee, but it's still significantly cheaper than having the waste commercially removed.
