Sending kids back to school can be very expensive. This week Serina Bird, author and host of the podcast, The Joyful Frugalista, joins Money managing editor Julia Newbould on the Friends With Money podcast to share her tips on how to do your back-to-school shopping on a budget.

This includes starting early, not always buying the recommended school stationery packs and hitting the January sales.
