Commonwealth Bank recognises the value of the small business community, and is delivering products and services that can help smaller enterprises reach their full potential.

Rebecca Warren, executive general manager of small business banking at Commonwealth Bank, says: "Small businesses are the lifeblood of the Australian economy and an integral part of our social fabric, so it's vital we continue to support this important sector."

To achieve that support, Warren says: "CommBank is focused on continually improving our products and services to help meet more needs, and provide value beyond traditional banking.

"We do this through continued digital innovation and enhancing our full-service offering."

As a guide to what's available, Commonwealth Bank is focused on product innovation that gives business customers more control and flexibility over their money.

"Our investments to accelerate lending decisions have given small businesses faster access to funds, helping support and grow this important sector," says Warren.

She notes that CommBank's BizExpress platform allows the bank to "approve loans in minutes", adding that "today, 70% of all loans to small businesses are funded through BizExpress".

Helping small businesses stay safe online is one of CommBank's highest priorities. "Our investments in scam and fraud prevention have seen losses more than halved," she says.

"Our partnership with the Council of Small Business of Australia and Telstra on the Cyber Wardens course also helps upskill Australian small businesses in cyber protection and scams awareness and has now received endorsement from the Federal government."

"We continue to differentiate our offering with initiatives including a free cashflow management course in partnership with the UNSW, a partnership with Smiling Mind, a not-for-profit mental health organisation to provide small business owners with access to mental wellbeing programs and extending the CommBank Yello rewards and benefits program to over 350,000 small businesses," says Warren.

CommBank offers a full suite of products and services to business including an online business savings account to help manage cashflow, as well as a Business Low Rate credit card with cashback benefits for eligible cardholders and an unsecured credit limit of up to $50,000.

For great value, CommBank also offers a CommBank Neo Business card with no interest fees and no late fees. A monthly fee of $12, $18 or $22 applies depending on your card limit. If you don't use the card and pay the total balance owing in full, you won't be charged the monthly fee. Spend data can be automatically shared with Xero or MYOB.

There's also plenty of financing support through CommBank's BetterBusiness Loan with rates from 7.85% and terms of up to 30 years.

"We strive to provide the best customer service experience in the channels that customers choose - whether that's online with our market-leading digital offering, over the phone with a dedicated Business Banking call centre or through our branch network - the largest in the country," Warren says.

"I'm proud of our teams who have achieved a record number of proactive contacts with our small business customers over the last year."
