Swapping super funds isn't as hard as you think.

This week Serina Bird, author and host of The Joyful Frugalista podcast, chats with Money's Julia Newbould about how easy it is to combine and change your super funds. Serina chose a low-fee industry fund, and says moving to a new fund - or consolidating multiple super accounts - is simple.

  • It can take less than 10 minutes to set up a new fund;
  • Your old super fund should not charge fees to release your money;
  • You can use MyGov to find and consolidate multiple super accounts.
