The shopping malls start to become unbearably crowded and the car parks border on downright dangerous as we move closer to December.

We've done the work for you and scoured the internet for this week's deals, ranging from travel deals to books as well as exclusive card member offers. Some deals are for one day only.

American Express cardholders - save up to $30 on apps. Amex has introduced its 'American Express Handpicked' store, giving cardholders access to complimentary apps such as Shazam Encore (worth $8.99) and Spark Camera (worth $2.49). Amex will frequently bring you complimentary, themed content - beginning with an impressive travel essentials pack this week valued at over $30. From photography to music, games to weather, Amex have six complimentary travel apps that will make your next adventure even more enjoyable. Available until October 31, 2015.

Apple iTunes cards - save up to 25%. Kmart is currently offering two $20 iTunes cards for $30, a saving of 25%. There is a limit of 10 cards per customer and the deal is valid until November 8, 2015. Officeworks is also offering a discount on iTunes cards. $30 cards are now $24 (limit of 10 per customer), $50 cards are now $40 (limit of 6 per customer) and $100 cards are $80 (limit of 3 per customer). This deal is available in store and online. Officeworks does not specify an expiry date for this offer.

Booktopia.com.au - save up to 90%. Australian-owned and operated booktopia.com.au has 30% off its top 100 bestsellers as well as up to 90% off on its 'Booktoberfest' clearance sale. There is a flat postage rate of $6.95 per order so it pays to order all your books in one hit.

BookDepository.com - save up to 40%. Top Christmas picks on sale now until Tuesday 3 November, 2015. Delivery is free worldwide.

Country Road cardholders - receive up to $100 off. Valid until Sunday November 8, 2015, Country Road cardholders receive $50 off when spending $150 or more and $100 off when spending $300 or more. This offer may be redeemed multiple times, but only once per transaction.

Cotton On - Save 30%. For one day only (ends Wednesday 28 October at midnight) save 30% off women's and men's new season arrivals.

David Jones Amex or David Jones storecard holders - save up to 40%. Available from October 20, 2015, David Jones Amex or David Jones storecard holders receive the following discounts until Sunday November 1, 2015: 20% off when you spend $100, 30% off when you spend $200, 40% off when you spend $300. Available in store and online.

Gorman - save 20% off sitewide. For one day only (Wednesday 28 October) save 20% in store and online. Online sale ends at 11.59pm and in-store at close of business.

Harvey Norman - save $25. If you sign up for any Harvey Norman newsletter, you'll receive a $25 online voucher to spend on your next online purchase with a minimum order value of $150. Hotels.com - save 10%. If you are making a booking on Hotels.com for two or more nights and use PayPal to pay, you can save 10% until Saturday October 31 for any stays completed by December 31, 2015. Use the coupon code AUPAY10. You could save even more by completing the purchase through your preferred cashback website.

Qantas Frequent Flyer membership - save $89.50. It's not a shopping deal per se but with Woolworths winding down its relationship with Qantas, there is no guarantee you will still be able to apply for free Qantas Frequent Flyer membership through Woolworth's new loyalty program once ties are completely severed at the end of the year. Qantas is offering free membership until December 31, 2015. Click here for more details.

RedBalloon - save $14. If you're thinking about purchasing an experience as a gift, use the coupon code BDAY14 to receive $14 off. The minimum spend is $69. This deal expires on Friday October 30, 2015.

Starwood Hotels & Resorts - save 20%. You can save 20% on participating Starwood properties for a minimum two-night stay by settling the bill with your MasterCard. Simply enter the promotion code MC20PRM. If the participating hotel is less than 6 months old, you'll also receive a room upgrade and late checkout. This offer is available until July 14, 2016. Target via ebay - save 25%.
